ACCO will be partnering with the Creek County Sheriff's Office in offering a defensive tactics instructor school November 6th - 10th in Sapulpa at the Creek County Fairgrounds. To register please send me an email with the names of participants.
Defensive Tactics Instructor course. 40 hours – certification valid for 3 years
This 5-day, highly dynamic course is like no other because it provides useful defensive and countermeasure skills in all three zones of defense, especially for close quarter battles (CQB) and effecting the arrest. It relies heavily on practical, hands-on applications and is intended for those who want instruction in the proper uses of both soft and hard empty-hand techniques, weapons retention, and use of straight batons (expandable or rigid) for self-defense. The course also provides subject-control for escort/takedown and handcuffing, handcuffing techniques for passive and active resistant individuals with chain and hinge cuffs, along with proper usage and application of aerosol OC.

With a format that combines the proven effectiveness of the Monadnock Defensive Tactics System, the Monadnock Expandable Baton, Hiatt Handcuffing and Defense Technology OC Instructor Courses, this course offers individuals the skills, information and preparation to meet the challenges of the job and provides them with the skills necessary to return to their agency and provide training to others.
This course incorporates lecture, practical exercises, and scenario-based training. The curriculum is designed in modules that are intended to be completed consecutively or can be sectionalized and taught separately.
With a format that combines the proven effectiveness of the Basic Monadnock Defensive Tactics System course, the comprehensive Monadnock Expandable Baton dynamic hands-on curriculum, the proven restraint techniques of the Hiatt Handcuffing course and the time-tested Defense Technology Instructor Course, individuals will learn how to utilize the skills, information, technology and tactical options to meet the challenges of the job and provides them with the proper skill set necessary to return to their agency and provide training to others.
