Heat Related Injury Alert

We are seeing a number of heat related injuries these past couple of days.  Make sure everyone working in the heat not only has fluids available but are required to take breaks for hydration a couple of times each hour.  You cannot always feel when your body is becoming dehydrated.  Items such as salt tablets or Gatorade would be advisable.  We have a heat stroke incident where low sodium and potassium has caused some problems.  Please make anyone working outside aware of the hazards of heat stress and heat stroke and how to watch out for the symptoms in each other.

Listed below are some important links to various heat stress & safety websites.
