$25 Millions Signed By Governor

PRESS RELEASE

(Oklahoma City) –   On May 2, 2006, County Commissioners witnessed Governor Brad Henry signing into law SB 1288 that allocated $25 million to counties to help with the critical repair and replacement of county bridges.  Lawmakers recognized the need is great, more than $2 billion in replacement costs for deficient county bridges. SB 1288 made an important and positive step towards making our county roads safe.  The apportionment to each county will be by formula developed by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and go into each county's County Bridge and Road Improvement Fund.  These funds will be available July 1, 2006
