Self Insurance Group (SIG) &
Self Insurance Fund (SIF)

The Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma, (ACCO) founded shortly after statehood, represents the interests and concerns of the state’s 77 counties, assisting local government to operate in the most efficient, cost-effective manner possible. Not long after its formation, and as a result of rising costs and few commercial alternatives, ACCO launched a self-insurance program, ACCO-SIF, to provide workers’ compensation coverage to its members and political subdivisions. The success of this program led to the formation of ACCO-SIG, which provides affordable liability, property, automobile and other related coverage tailored to county governments. Both pools operate by legal means under Title 74§1001 and Title 51§169, respectively.
